Added the first animated gif from Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Volume One in the Kill Bill folder. Lucy Liu is the deadly assassin O-ren Ishii.  The Bride (Uma Thurman) decides to take her revenge.

2 new animated gifs added to the Raiders of the Lost Ark folder.  With the release of the new Indiana Jones film just a few months away, I thought it would be fun to revisit Indy's debut.  After seeing the new trailer for the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, I'm a little concerned that Harrison Ford will simply be parodying himself in the role (which itself was a sort of parody/tribute of the old adventure serials of the 1940s and 50s). I know it's going to be a whole lot of fun but I wonder if it will be able to catch the old magic of the first three.  I absolutely loved Raiders and the Temple of Doom (Mola Ram!) but found that the Last Crusade lost a little bit of the edgy adventure of the first two.  I think the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will end up somewhere in Last Crusade territory.  I'm still glad that Indy is back for a final adventure.

2 Ferris Bueller animated gifs added to the Ferris Bueller's Day Off folder.  Probably my favorite eighties movie of all time.  It's one of the few films that I never get tired of watching.  It's so entertaining to watch Ferris get the better of Ed Rooney (and others) without being pompous or annoying. I always saw Ferris as a sort of 'Bugs Bunny' type character (which makes Principal Rooney 'Elmer Fudd', I guess).  He's a smart-aleck who wants everyone to have as much fun as he's having (as opposed to the self-centeredness reflected in most smart-ass characters).  It's a film that flaunts authority with cheery optimism and without a drop of cynacism.  Most films today have teenage characters rebelling through drink, drugs or sex.  Ferris Bueller has more fun than any modern day character - and does it without the hangover.
